Pure Mysore Silk Saree — Silk Mark Certified | A Living Legacy of Royal Karnataka

⚠️ Rarity Alert: Authentic Mysore Silk Sarees are now a vanishing heritage. Own one while you can — and preserve it for generations.

👑 Part of Our Exclusive Royal Collection

The Maharaja's Throne (Simhasana) border on this saree is among the rarest motifs in Mysore Silk weaving — so rare that we personally commissioned a master artisan to weave it exclusively for our customers. This design is not found on the shelf. It was specially requested, specially woven, and specially brought to you as part of our curated Royal Collection — reserved for those who appreciate the extraordinary.

Not just a saree. A commission. A legacy. A privilege.

🏛️ The Heritage & Origin

Mysore Silk is one of India's most celebrated and ancient textile traditions, originating in the royal city of Mysuru (Mysore), Karnataka. Patronised by the legendary Mysore Maharajas of the Wadiyar dynasty, this silk was once reserved exclusively for royalty and temple offerings. The weaving tradition dates back over 400 years, with the Mysore royal family establishing silk weaving units in the early 20th century to preserve this art for posterity.

Woven from pure mulberry silk sourced from Karnataka's sericulture heartland, Mysore Silk is renowned globally for its unmatched lustre, feather-light drape, and buttery-smooth texture

👑 Why This Saree Commands a Premium — The Maharaja's Throne Border

This is not just a saree. It is a wearable piece of royal history.

  • The wide dark chocolate brown border features an elaborate Maharaja's Throne (Simhasana) motif — a majestic golden zari design depicting the royal throne of the Mysore Maharajas, flanked by peacocks and floral medallions in golden zari.
  • This motif is extremely rare and is woven by master artisans who have inherited this craft through generations — fewer weavers practice this design.
  • The golden zari (tested) used in the border is sourced from traditional zari manufacturers, adding significant material value.
  • The vibrant yellow body transitions into a deep dark chocolate brown pallu and blouse, creating a bold, auspicious dual-tone combination that is both regal and traditionally significant.
  • A golden zari stripe runs through the pallu, adding architectural elegance to the drape.

When you wear this saree, you carry the legacy of the Mysore Maharajas on your shoulders — quite literally.

  • Storage: Wrap the saree in a white muslin/cotton cloth.
  • Refold Regularly: Change the fold lines every 3–4 months to prevent permanent crease marks along the same lines.
